Pixilation Animation.

We all pitched our idea's to the class and together we concluded on one idea, where we would use our hands to create the short film using pixalation animation. In order to film, someone had to sit by the computer controlling the frames using Animation pro 7, while the rest of us helped coordinate where the hands should be positioned. The filming worked by making slight movements while a single frame is taken, we did this over and over again until we completed the film. This is the result. Hope you like it.

Pixilation is another stop motion technique where live actors are used as a frame-by-frame subject in an animated film, by repeatedly posing while one or more frame is taken and changing pose slightly before the next frame or frames.

I found the process and the idea of this animation boring, we couldn't do much and we weren't able to achieve many of the ideas, because of the space and time limitation we had.

An early example that use Pixilation animation, is, The Secret Adventures of Tom Thumb which was created in the early 1990's
